Why Mark Making?

We all become tight in our art practice and need to learn how to just let go and allow our painting to develop in a free random but considered way.

To achieve this i will show you how to make your own paint brushes from found objects like bamboo, feathers, sticks and households things like a bottle brush and a toothbrush.

You will watch as I create a large abstract landscape using many different mediums including paint, ink, charcoal, crayon, pen and lots more.

Why make your own brushes?

Because the marks they make can not be achieved with conventional brushes.

How you will receive this class?

I will send you this 40 minute class as a video sent by email, you can watch the class as many times as you like

How you will receive this class?

Starting with collecting materials from my environment, making brushes and starting a painting with no preconceived ideas and allowing the abstract marks to determine the composition. Adding and taking away, layering colours and mediums and finishing with detail.
